The 16th Latvian Robotics Championship starts with success at the Jelgava stage
On 9 December the 1st stage of the Latvian Robotics Championship took place in Jelgava, with Preiļi robotics enthusiasts among the participants. In Jelgava the competition was held only in Lego events – Lego Sumo, Lego Sumo Pro, Lego line following and Lego Folkrace. 12 participants from the PRK went to the first competition of the new season.
Overall the competition turned out to be productive for our team, as several prize places were won:
1st place – Andrejs Gžibovskis (9.D), Lego line following event,
1st place – Jānis Bērzinieks (8.B), Lego Sumo older group event,
2nd place – Andrejs Gžibovskis (9.D), Lego Folkrace event,
3rd place – Nauris Skutelis (8.A) and Andrejs Gžibovskis (9.D), Lego line following event.
For most of the team members this was their first competition, and they gained experience that they will be able to use in preparing for the next ones.
We wish them successful starts in the next competition, which will take place very soon – on 16 December, at TSI in Riga.
