Success at the international robotics competition in Visaginas
On 5–6 March 2026 PRK members took part in the robotics competition “Visaginas Robotiada 2026”, organised as part of the SkillRiskRobo project in the town of Visaginas, Lithuania.
The members of our team won:
2nd place Alens Meirulis in Lego sumo 13+
2nd place Kārlis Dunskis in Lego sumo -12
3rd place Jānis Bērzinieks in Lego sumo 13+
5th place Emīls Šņepsts in Lego sumo 13+
On the evening of 5 March the participants had the chance to visit the training centre of the Visaginas nuclear power plant, which was a prototype of a real nuclear power plant. The Visaginas complex was similar to the one in Chernobyl.
Although none of the equipment is used any more, it was valuable to visit the place to appreciate the technology of the recent past.
Participation in the competition was made possible with the support of the Latgale Regional Development Agency’s Interreg Latvia – Lithuania programme project “SkillRiskRobo”. Thank you!
