Success at the “Automaton 2022” robotics competition in Panevėžys
On the morning of Saturday, 7 May, the Preiļi Robotics Club team set off for Panevėžys to take part in the “Automaton 2022” competition. After a long break, this was the second competition in which Preiļi Robotics Club members took part. The PRK team was represented by 16 robotics enthusiasts, who competed successfully in this event.
Members of our team dominated in Folkrace, as the places in the final run were shared among our own: 1st place – Armands Upenieks, 2nd place – Aldis Buks, 3rd place – Rinalds Ivanovs.
There was also a successful start in Mini Sumo, but this time 1st place went to our Lithuanian friends, while our members won the other podium places – 2nd place – Matīss Buks, 3rd place – Armands Upenieks.
In LEGO line following, 4 young participants – Katrīna Šņepste, Kristīne Baumane, Andrejs Gžibovskis and Kristers Šņepsts – competed fairly successfully, as Kristīne missed the podium by only a little – about 1 second.
Congratulations to the winners, and we wish everyone success in the next competitions!
Thank you all for preparing for and taking part in the competition, especially the graduate Solvita Ragauša for the time she earned and her work!
