JEPVĢ graduates take part successfully in the robotics competition in Bucharest

From 31 October to 2 November 2025 one of the largest robotics competitions in Europe took place in Bucharest, the capital of Romania – the 16th international robotics competition “RoboChallenge 2025”.
This year’s competition in Romania was attended by 230 teams with 1231 participants from 30 countries and 1171 robots.

The Latvian team also included JEPVĢ graduates Matīss Dambītis, Matīss Buks, Armands Upenieks.

The Latvian team did well this year and, in fierce competition, won several prize places!
Our people, together with the other members of the Latvian team, won 1st place in the Minisumo event and 2nd place in the Megasumo event. Congratulations on a significant success.

This year’s successes place Latvia among the best 5 teams (out of 30) in the overall standings of the Romanian competition, ahead of even Japan.

These victories secured an invitation (tickets) to the most important competition in the world, in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, which will take place very soon – on 5–7 December.
We wish the whole Latvian team good luck, and especially our boys!
