2026–2027 Latvian Robotics Championship season starts with good results in Ludza!
On 10 October 2026 the “Ludza Municipality Robotics Cup 2026” competition took place at the Ludza Culture House. It marked the start of the 2026/2027 competition season and the 19th Latvian Robotics Championship. The Preiļi Robotics Club (PRK) sent 13 participants with 14 robots to Ludza.
The members of the Preiļi Robotics Club won:
Jānis Bērzinieks in cooperation with Daniels Deiko – 1st place and 3rd place in the Mini sumo pupils’ group.
Kārlis Rečs and Jānis Bērzinieks – 2nd place in Lego sumo PRO.
Yehor Hladkyi – 3rd place in Lego sumo PRO.
This was the first competition in which the new Mini sumo robots, developed by Jānis Bērzinieks and Daniels Deiko, were tested in competition conditions. We are delighted with the new Lego robotics participants, who prepared competitive robots. It is a pity that Markuss Prikuls’s relay robot dropped out before the competition.
