18th Latvian Robotics Championship concludes with the RTU stage

At the Faculty of Computer Science, Information Technology and Energy (DITEF) of Riga Technical University (RTU), young robotics and electronics talents demonstrated their knowledge and practical skills by competing in the traditional activities of Robotics and Electronics Day 2026. This year three competitions took place in one day – the final of the 18th Latvian Robotics Championship, Robotics and Electronics Day 2026 and Baltic Robot Sumo 2026.

Several representatives of the PRK team showed good skills and won a number of prize places; Andrejs Gžibovskis’s 5 top podium places deserve special mention:

1st place
Andrejs Gžibovskis – Lego Dragrace, Lego line following, Lego Folkrace, Folkrace Pro, Relay race (together with Kārlis Rečs)
Kārlis Rečs – Lego sumo PRO, Relay race (together with Andrejs Gžibovskis)
Paula Butāne – iRobot sumo

2nd place
Daniels Deiko – Mini sumo pupils

3rd place

Thank you to all the participants for their active and productive work in the robotics club! Good luck in the next season.
